I have rediscovered my love for home made gifts and crafts.  There is so much satisfaction in making something with my own hands,and then gifting to someone else - especially when the recipient is so thankful. These darling headbands worked up in no time at all and I think they are such a throw back to our hippie days. Special thanks to my adorable model - Maddie Kruegger - helps that she is so pickin cute!

I made some for the babies too! Because everything is cuter in miniature.  Just wish I had some babies to give them too. Have to wait for that day.

And as if this isn't crafty enough, I have also been trying out new bread recipes.  Nothing quite like the smell of bread baking - sends me right back to my mom's kitchen. When I was growing up, I would quite often come home from school to the wonderful aroma of bread and cinnamon buns baking away. Is there anything more comforting than a fresh, hot piece of bread,  slathered in butter? Nothing - except perhaps when it is followed by a cinnamon bun.    Here is a picture of the best tasting, most beautiful, and incredibly easy recipe I have ever worked with.
